BOARD OF DIRECTORS

Simon Cook
Simon has been CEO of IC Frith since August 2007. As the elected successor of the founder Ian Frith, he continues to develop strong bonds within the insurance industry, where he is recognised as a key player. His aim is to establish the company as one of the premier brokers in Australia and a key service provider of extended warranty in the Asia-Pacific region. Simon has been a director of the Boating Industry Association (NSW) for over six years. He has more than 12 years experience in middle and senior management roles.

Andrew North
Andrew is Director, Secretary and General Manager, Group Operational Services of IC Frith. He has 24 years financial services industry experience, mainly in financial and operations management positions. This includes general insurance broking and underwriting, derivatives broking and stock broking. He has lectured at Sydney University in graduate and undergraduate topics in general insurance accounting and financial planning. He is a Certified Practising Accountant, Fellow of the Australia & New Zealand Institute of Insurance and Finance, Certified Insurance Professional and qualified systems auditor.The firms he previously worked for include Munich Reinsurance Company, SRS Underwriting Agency, State Street and Bain & Co.
 
Anthony Jones
Anthony is Managing Director of IC Frith (NZ) Ltd and Chairman. His 21 years of insurance industry experience includes roles in underwriting, risk management and surveying, national account management and broking. He joined IC Frith eight years ago after working for Vero Insurance, FAI Insurance, HIH Insurance and QBE Insurance.
 
Kevin Ellis
Kevin is Director and General Manager, Warranty Services for IC Frith. He has been with the company for 14 years. He has a background of 29 years in the insurance industry, with experience in general insurance broking, underwriting, agency management and administration. Kevin previously worked for GRE Insurance and Associated Marine Insurers.  
 
 
BROKING & ALLIED SERVICES
 
David Ferris
David is the National Accounts & Affinity Manager for IC Frith.  David coordinates IC Frith’s national schemes, facilities and industry association relationships.  Prior to this role, David was the NSW Broking Manager for IC Frith.  He has insurance industry experience spanning 28 years with roles in risk management/loss control (including 18 months HPR fire protection engineering training in Chicago USA), claims management, direct insurance underwriting, reinsurance underwriting and national account management, agency management and broking. The major insurance companies he has worked for are Greater Pacific, Kemper Insurance Ltd, Chubb Insurance Company of Australia, American Re-Insurance, Munich-American Risk Partners and the Hollard Insurance Company. 
 
Paul Mattiassi
Paul is Victorian State Manager of IC Frith. His insurance industry experience spans 20 years throughout South East Asia and has included claims, underwriting in general insurance, underwriting and management of extended warranty programs, travel insurance and extended warranty and personal lines insurance. He has worked for AIG International (Vice President of Personal Lines Australasia); HIH (Underwriting Manager for Travel and Warranty); and Swann Insurance. 
 
Vanessa Miller
Vanessa is Queensland State Manager of IC Frith, managing the Queensland office and her own portfolio of business. She has been with the company for eight years. She has 12 years broking experience, including with IEA Insurance Brokers and Zuellig Insurance Brokers. Vanessa holds two Financial Service Diploma's with ANZIIF (General Insurance and Insurance Broking), and is CIP and QPIB qualified.
 
Jason Thompson
Jason is the NSW Broking Manager and General Manager, Workers Compensation & OHS. He has been with IC Frith for more than seven years and in the insurance industry for 17 years. These included 10 years with workers compensation insurance companies, working in areas such as credit control, underwriting and marketing. His qualifications include a Masters Degree in Occupational Health & Safety Management and a Bachelor of Business Degree. He is completing a Master of Business Degree in Financial Services (Insurance).
 
 
FINANCE, ACTUARIAL AND ADMINISTRATION

Graham Harris
Graham joined IC Frith as Finance Controller in September 2006 and was promoted to CFO in September 2007. His responsibilities include all finance issues for the business. From 2004 to 2006 he was Interim Finance Director for Time Inc. which publishes Time, Who, InStyle and other magazines. He was previously Finance Director for EMI Music New Zealand, before serving in a similar position at EMI Music Australia, one of the country’s five top recording companies. He is a New Zealand CA and has 27 years broad commercial finance experience.
 
 
Andrew Scott
Andrew is Manager, Strategic Analysis and Product Development of IC Frith. He is Australia's foremost expert on extended warranties for consumer electrical products. He analyses the country’s largest warranty portfolio and advises on exposure levels, capital needs, premium levels, reserving, underwriting guidelines, claim management and system requirements. Andrew also advises retailers and manufacturers on the most durable brands, expected survival times and major causes of breakdown within different product segments. In the longer term, he is developing a more sophisticated secondary market in warranties to provide greater protection for retail customers of electrical products. A 1990 Macquarie University graduate in actuarial studies, Andrew has consulted to the insurance industry in Sydney for over 13 years, advising direct insurers and international re-insurers.
 
 
WARRANTY ADMINISTRATION
 
Craig Methven
Craig is based in Dublin as the Operations Manager for Asia and Europe, focusing on growing the business in these regions. In his eight years at IC Frith, he established the warranty and broking operations in Singapore and Malaysia, before setting up warranty operations in Ireland and Slovenia.
